The lamp post in Narnia was a beacon in more ways than one, showing the children the way to Narnia and showing them the way back when they needed to leave. It was the lamp post that triggered the children’s memories of their old lives in England. For me personally this story not only evokes memories of my childhood, being read to at night on caravan trips but also connects me to the cherished memories of my father.
