Botanical Illustration Part 1 (drawing class) Wednesday 16th September

Using a selection of seed pods as inspiration, you'll learn to observe natural forms, and sketch with accuracy to create a series of drawings. Explore techniques for capturing texture, tone, and form while developing your drawing skills. Perfect for beginners and experienced artists alike, this workshop offers a wonderful opportunity to slow down, connect with nature, and create your own botanical artwork.
What will I learn?
· Careful observation of natural forms and botanical details
· Sketching accurately from reference materials
· Understanding proportion, shape and structure
· Rendering techniques
· Composition and presentation of a botanical study
· Building confidence in combining drawing techniques
· Developing patience, focus and attention to detail through observational practice
What is included?
· Premium materials included (charcoal, assorted papers and pencils)
· Small class for personalised instruction from a teacher with 25+ years experience.
· You will walk away with your own collection of finished botanical drawings

· Maximum 8 people
· $85 per person
· Time: 6 – 8pm Wednesday 16th September

Who is the course suitable for?
· This workshop is designed as an introduction to observational drawing. Participants who have some experience with drawing will also have an opportunity to experiment further with more challenging subjects.

· What happens if we have to cancel last minute?
If you need to cancel please advise at least 24 hours prior to class. You will have credit to attend another workshop in the future.
· Is there wheelchair access and a bathroom on site?
Unfortunately, we do not have wheelchair access as my studio is located upstairs. We have a bathroom facilities available downstairs.
· Is this workshop suitable for children?
This workshop is aimed primarily for adults or 16 years and above. If you have a teen that is attending with you and you would like to join, you are most welcome.
